Mathematics Education in Korea

Professor Wang is a visiting professor at IUP from Korea University in Seoul, Korea. He is an alumnus of Korea University, IUP and the University of Georgia where he received a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education in 1993.

The mathematics preparation for the general public and for secondary mathematics teachers in Korea differs significantly from that in the United States of America. Professor Hyung Wang is in the unique position to offer his perspectives on these differences being familiar with both and having been trained in both countries.
