Sister Chromatid Exchange (SCE) Study in Mice
Part 4 - Table 4
Four mice from each sex were assigned randomly to each of four treatment groups
including a negative control (saline; S)
and three graded doses (D1: 59/59, D2: 197/197,
D3: 590/590 mg/kg) of a combination drug product. Two additional animals from each sex were
randomized to be treated with a positive control (P). Bone marrow cells from each animal were
prepared and examined for sister chromatid exchanges (SCE's). For each animal, the total
number of SCE's in 25 mitotic cells was recorded.
- Are the rates of SCE's dose related?
- Are the results similar for the sexes?
