    • Read pages 106 through 108 on Z-scores.

  2. Due Wednesday, February 16

    Required work

    • Read pages 110 through 115 the "Fan Cost Index" in baseball
    • Complete Investigation 2-2: Cloud Seeding parts (a) through (q) on pages 85 through 94
      Be sure to include the mean as a measure of center and the standard deviation as a measure of spread.

    Optional work

    • Repeat parts (o) through (q) of Investigation 2-2 using a square root transformation instead of a logarithm. Compare the results found using a square root to those found using a log transformation.
