1. Visit the Tinkerplots Web site. (www.umass.edu/srri/serg/projects/tp/tpmain.html).
2. View the "Tinkerplots Introductory Movie."
3. Explore the datasets contained in the SampleData folder under Tinkerplots.
4. Load the "Backpack" dataset from the SampleData folder.
5. Duplicate the work in the "building plots" (http://www.umass.edu/srri/serg/projects/tp/tpbuild.html) example on the Tinkerplots Web site.

    2. Explore the dataset with Tinkerplots, creating graphs and displays as you look for interesting patterns and reltionships.

    • Incorporate the 2003 Indiana County Grade 8 PSSA results into your graphical analysis.

  2. Due Wednesday, April 14

    Required work

    1. Write a review of the Tinkerplots software. Address your review to the Statistics Education Research Group at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Base your comments on our class discussions on what a good review should contain.
