   Required work

   • Complete the "Constructing Graphs in Excel" assignment (http://www.math.iup.edu/~tshort/handouts/excel.html).

   • *NEW* Complete the "Philadelphia County life expectancy" scatterplot assignment (http://www.math.iup.edu/~tshort/courses/math459/Excel/Philadelphia_County_life_expectancy.xls).

   Optional work

   • Incorporate the graphs you construct in Excel into a Microsoft Word document. Include your write-up and description of the graphs in the content around the graphs in Word. Turn your homework into a professional-looking report.

   • Construct the ugliest, most distracting, and most misleading graph or graphs you can using display options in Excel. Revise the ugly graph into a clear and simple version. Write a brief comparison of the ugly and clear graphs.

   • Use Excel functions to compare the birth dates and birth years of two people and determine which is older.
